TUTOR PROGRAMS

Through Literacy Works' monthly 12-hour trainings, community volunteers become confident, effective tutors of English as a Second Language (ESL) and Adult Basic Education (ABE) to literacy learners from ages 16 to 60+. Tutors enhance their skills by attending Literacy Works' semi-annual tutor gatherings and frequent trainings on innovative teaching approaches.

STAFF PROGRAMS

Staff from adult literacy, family literacy, and workforce development programs develop their knowledge and share resources through Literacy Works' Member Network, Family Literacy Opportunities (FLO) trainings, Employ Lit, and other services.

STUDENT PROGRAMS

Teen and adult learners improve their writing skills and family literacy skills by attending Writers' Circle and OK Learn workshops presented by Literacy Works at literacy programs and other programs serving low-income teens, adults, and families.
