To help communities meet the need for adult literacy services in a time of statewide financial stress, we provide drop-in tutoring for adults at select locations of the Chicago Public Library.
The ALL program was launched in January 2016 in response to the profound need brought about by the Illinois state budget stalemate. The idea was to provide a stop-gap service for adult learners whose instruction had been suspended during this time of crisis. Due to the Program’s success and the persistent demand for services, ALL is now an ongoing program.
Literacy Works is proud to partner with the Chicago Public Library to provide free instruction in reading, writing, math, and English language learning to adults in need.
